Paramedics needed

The Jefferson Ambulance Service is seeking qualified part time Paramedics. The Jefferson Ambulance Service provides an ALS Ambulance to a 107-square mile area of the Willamette Valley. The ambulance service is part of Jefferson Rural Fire Protection District (JRFPD), and covers the cities of Jefferson, Millersburg and Talbot, as well as portions of Marion and Scio. The District ran a total of 1,285 alarms last year, of which 831 were medical emergencies and MVA’s and 534 were transports. The ambulances are stationed at the main fire station in the city of Jefferson.

Position Description and Expectations:

 Work with an EMT, and be responsible for Advanced Life Support (ALS) care and transport of patients

  • Work 12 hour shift increments up to a max of 36 hrs a week
  • Participate in scheduled training and Fire District activities
  • Responsible for assigned shift duties and projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • High school Diploma or Equivalent
  • Current CPR card
  • Oregon licensed Paramedic in good standing with the Oregon State Health Division.
  • Valid Oregon Driver License, with an insurable driving record.
  • Pass DMV and Criminal History Background Checks.
  • Prior experience on an ALS transporting ambulance preferred.

Wage Information

  •  $13 per hour
